COVID Dashboard & Care Management System – A Digital Lifeline for Goa

Portfolio projects - team inertia technologies

Overview

Battling COVID-19 with Bytes

The Indian Medical Association (IMA) is India’s foremost body of modern medical professionals, advocating for both doctor welfare and community health. During COVID-19’s peak, IMA Goa needed a war-ready digital system to manage patient care, volunteer coordination, and real-time decision-making—amidst collapsing infrastructure.

Engagement Model:

Agile collaboration with IMA’s medical teams to refine workflows.

The Challenge

At the pandemic’s peak, IMA Goa faced collapsing systems—disjointed patient tracking, blind volunteer coordination, and delayed critical care—demanding a real-time digital lifeline to prevent systemic failure.

  • Chaotic patient tracking across urban/rural Goa.
  • Zero visibility for volunteers, doctors, and policymakers.
  • Delayed critical care due to fragmented communication.
Our Mission: Build a scalable, real-time COVID management ecosystem in 21 days—integrating PHCs, testing labs, volunteers, and doctors into a single command center.

Our Solution

IMACares - A COVID Care Management System

A four-pillar digital arsenal to combat COVID chaos:

1. Patient Mobile App

Putting care in patients’ hands:

  • Self-assessment for symptom severity triage.
  • Teleconsultation gateway to IMA doctors (600+ onboarded).
  • Live alerts for test results, medication schedules, and oxygen support.
  • Resource hub for protocols, vaccination updates, and emergency contacts.

2. Volunteer Coordination Panel

Turning goodwill into organized action:

  • Smart task routing based on location/urgency (1,900+ volunteers mobilized).
  • Critical-value alerts for high-risk patients (SpO₂, fever spikes).
  • Integrated chat for medicine deliveries, transport, and supply-chain ops.

3. Doctor’s Command Center

Clinical oversight at scale:

  • Centralized patient dashboards with symptom logs and history.
  • Automated escalation paths for ICU/hospital referrals.
  • Prescription tools with e-signatures and follow-up scheduling.

4. War Room Dashboard (Govt. Officials)

Data as a weapon against the pandemic:

  • Live heatmaps of case clusters and hospital bed occupancy.
  • Predictive analytics to preempt outbreaks (3-day surge alerts).
  • Policy action tools for lockdowns, testing drives, and resource allocation.

Execution

  • 21-day sprint from ideation to live deployment.
  • Agile collaboration with IMA’s medical teams to refine workflows.

Why IMA Trusts Team Inertia

“The system developed by the team transformed the way we responded to the COVID crisis. It provided visibility, accountability, and a sense of control in a chaotic environment. Their technical and domain expertise was evident throughout the project lifecycle.”

— Dr. X, Senior IMA Official

Conclusion

This project proved that crisis-tech isn’t about features—it’s about impact. For Goa’s leaders in pharma, hospitality, or e-commerce, the lesson is clear:
When stakes are high, agility + precision win.
